Flood warnings northeast of Vegas, Mount Charleston

The National Weather Service issued flash flood warnings in Clark County for Mount Charleston and the area around Interstate 215 northeast of the Las Vegas Valley.

Flooding is expected in washes, low water crossings and on roads, according to the weather service’s Las Vegas office.

A thunderstorm has been nearly stationary Thursday afternoon, affecting Mount Charleston, Rainbow Canyon, Kyle Canyon and I-15 from mile post 72 to 86, between the valley and Overton.

The flood warning was scheduled until 5 p.m.
