Dry week ahead for Las Vegas Valley
Updated December 16, 2018 - 9:20 pm
Las Vegans can expect dry, unseasonably warm weather for much of this week, according to the National Weather Service.
Monday’s high temperature will be 59 degrees as a weather system moves through the valley, meteorologist Kate Guillet said Sunday morning. Despite mostly cloudy skies on Monday, the forecast does not call for rain, she said.
“It’s still looking dry through the end of the week for the Las Vegas Valley,” Guillet said.
The weather service expects clouds to clear out by Tuesday.
Tuesday’s high will be 61, Wednesday’s high will be 65, and temperatures will rise to 66 Thursday afternoon, according to the weather service. Overnight low temperatures will hover near in the low to mid-40s.
The typical high for this time of year is about 56, the weather service said.
The best chance for snow in the Spring Mountains will be Monday, when the weather service forecasts a 30 percent chance for precipitation.
