Cooler temps and windy this week in Las Vegas Valley

Updated September 10, 2018 - 9:53 pm

Fall is nearly here, and temperatures are starting to drop in the Las Vegas Valley.

The valley is heading into a cooling trend, the National Weather Service said, and temperatures are forecast to drop below 100 degrees by midweek. Gusty winds also are expected this week.

Those breezes will continue Tuesday as the high falls to 99. Wednesday could be the windiest day of the week, with a high of 96 and winds that could gust up to 25 mph, the weather service said. Winds should start dying down Thursday, which should be the coolest day this week with a high of 94.

Friday’s high will rise to 96, the weather service said. No rain is expected in the valley this week.
