Clouds rolling in with cold over Las Vegas Valley
November 27, 2015 - 7:29 am
The freeze watch will lift, but Friday will be “cold and cloudy,” according to National Weather Service meteorologist Justin Pullin.
The freeze watch expires 8 a.m. Friday and most of the Las Vegas Valley stayed above freezing overnight due to the winds. Parts of Mountain’s Edge and Summerlin had temperatures approaching freezing, Pullin said.
Clouds and a cold air mass already have started to roll in Friday morning, but there is “too much dry air” for there to be snow in the valley. Mount Charleston may get light snow Friday morning and afternoon, according to the weather service.
Friday has an expected high of 52 degrees and a low in the mid-30s.
Pullin says to “stay warm, especially people Black Friday shopping.”
Saturday and Sunday will see highs of 51 and 53, lows in the low to mid-30s and light winds before the system moves out Sunday and things warm up early next week.
