Clear skies in Las Vegas Valley forecast before possible rain

Mostly clear skies are expected across the Las Vegas Valley until late Wednesday, according to the National Weather Service.

High temperatures will rise from 63 degrees on Tuesday to 65 on Wednesday, with overnight lows also ticking up from 46 to 52 over the period, according to weather service meteorologist Andrew Gorelow.

Sustained winds of 20 mph on Thursday will come with a 50 percent chance of rain during the day and a 30 percent chance at night, according to the weather service. The high Thursday should reach 61, with a low of 45. Chances for snow on Mount Charleston are forecast at 80 percent Thursday and 50 percent Thursday night.

Mostly clear skies should return Friday, with a forecast high of 60 and low of 42.
