Above-normal temps forecast for Las Vegas Valley this week

Updated December 11, 2018 - 10:08 pm

The Las Vegas Valley will see above-normal temperatures this week, according to the National Weather Service.

After temperatures on Tuesday peaked at 65 degrees, Wednesday should have a similar high, the weather service said. The average high for mid-December is about 57 degrees. Thursday and Friday should see a slight drop in temperatures, but highs will remain above average, with a high of 58 forecast for both days. Temperatures will rise Saturday and Sunday with highs of 62 and 61, respectively.

Overnight lows through Sunday will be in the low 40s, the weather service said.

No rain is forecast in the valley through the end of the week. Winds will grow on Wednesday, gusting up to 25 mph in the afternoon, before dropping to lighter levels through the weekend, the weather service said.
