Vegas Pride Parade street closures announced

Several streets in downtown Las Vegas will be closed Friday afternoon and evening for the annual Las Vegas Pride Parade.

The celebration, in its 31st year in Southern Nevada, will include a parade along downtown’s traditional route, Fourth Street from Gass Avenue to Ogden Avenue.

Road closures will run from 3 p.m. to 11 p.m. The parade begins at 8.

Fourth Street will be closed from Gass to Stewart Avenue, the disbanding area.

Carson and Bridger avenues, between Third Street and Las Vegas Boulevard, also will be closed to provide parade route viewing areas. Parade staging will occur on Coolidge, Hoover and Gass avenues between Fourth Street and Casino Center Boulevard and on Third Street between Charleston Boulevard and Garces Avenue.

Organizers say the event is a celebration of diversity in the Las Vegas lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community.
