Traffic delays expected at Twain Avenue and Swenson Street

Drivers are encouraged to avoid the intersection at Twain Avenue and Swenson Street Wednesday afternoon.

County workers will start work on the traffic light pole at 1 p.m. until about midnight. The intersection will be a four-way stop, and Twain will be reduced to one lane in both directions, according to county officials.

Alternate routes for people traveling east and west include Desert Inn or Flamingo roads. For those traveling north or south, Maryland Parkway or Paradise Road are the recommended routes.
