RTC launches website with Las Vegas transit route information

The Regional Transportation Commission has launched a new website for visitors seeking information about transit routes on the Strip and to the Las Vegas Convention Center and McCarran International Airport.

RideTheStrip.com provides information on Deuce bus service in the resort corridor that carries an estimated 28,000 passengers on weekdays.

Deuce service runs from Mandalay Bay to the Fremont Street Experience on Las Vegas Boulevard.

The site also promotes the Strip and Downtown Express bus line that serves the Las Vegas Convention Center and the South Strip Transfer Terminal, a park-and-ride location that has lines connecting with McCarran International Airport. The express service carries an estimated 16,000 passengers on weekdays.

The site was launched in advance of the commission’s plans to offer a transit app through which bus users can purchase transit passes through their smartphones.
