Pregnant passenger airlifted after vehicle overturns

A one-car roll-over wreck on state Route 161 on Monday night resulted in the passenger of the vehicle being airlifted to University Medical Center, the Nevada Highway Patrol said.

The female passenger was pregnant, trooper Loy Hixson said.

The accident occurred shortly before 8 p.m. on state Route 161 near the Jean exit.

An updated condition on the female passenger was unavailable late Monday.

The male driver in the crash was transported by ambulance to UMC, Hixson said.
