Portion of Las Vegas Boulevard to be closed this weekend

Portions of Las Vegas Boulevard downtown will be closed from 8 p.m. Friday to 6 a.m. Monday.

The boulevard from Garces Avenue through Clark Avenue will close for paving work.

Las Vegas Paving will remove and replace the asphalt on the boulevard at the intersections of Garces, Bonneville and Clark avenues.

Motorists should pay attention to road closure signs and follow temporary detours. Southbound traffic will be diverted at Bridger Avenue to Main Street or Maryland Parkway. Northbound traffic will be routed to Fourth Street at Charleston Boulevard. Gass Avenue will remain accessible.

The project will include making Bonneville and Clark one-way streets as far east as Maryland Parkway once it is complete in mid-October.
