Pedestrian struck, killed Sunday night on Boulder Highway

A pedestrian is dead after being hit by a car Sunday night on Boulder Highway near Tropicana Avenue.

The man was not in a crosswalk when he crossed Boulder Highway south of Sun Valley Drive about 9:30 p.m. He was hit by a 2003 Nissan 350Z, according to Las Vegas police.

The man died at the scene. The driver of the Nissan remained at the scene with minor injuries.

The investigation is ongoing.

This was the 56th traffic related fatality in Las Vegas police jurisdiction for 2013.
