One person is dead and three are injured after a two-vehicle accident early Sunday on East Sahara Avenue.

The car then left the road and crashed into a parked 2004 Toyota Tacoma, which was occupied by Dante Telan, a security guard at the NV Energy Winterwood Substation.

David Tualua, 43, a passenger in Kahalewai’s vehicle, was pronounced dead at University Medical Center. Another passenger, Jessie Diaz, 46, was listed in serious condition at UMC.

Kahalewai and Telan were taken to Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center with life-threatening injuries.

The collision is under investigation. This is the 47th traffic-related fatality this year in the Las Vegas police jurisdiction.
