Nevada Highway Patrol responds to fatal crash on state Route 160

A motorcyclist who veered off of state Route 160 near Mountain Springs in the southwest valley died Friday night, the Nevada Highway Patrol said.

The motorcyclist’s gender and age were not immediately available, NHP trooper Loy Hixson said.

Troopers were called to the scene at 7:30 p.m., Hixson said. The motorcyclist’s body was found near the road heading toward Las Vegas.

The motorcycle was registered in New Mexico, Hixson said.

The motorcyclist will be identified by the Clark County coroner’s office.
