A motorcyclist is dead after a crash Friday night in the central valley, Las Vegas police said.
Officers were called about 9:25 p.m. to the crash between a sedan and a motorcycle at Martin Luther King Boulevard and Wyatt Avenue, near Owens Avenue, Metropolitan Police Department Lt. Greg Phenis said.
The motorcyclist, a 27-year-old man, died at the scene, police said.
Investigators believe that the man was speeding while driving his 2003 Suzuki SV1000 motorcycle south on Martin Luther King. A 53-year-old man driving a 2006 Toyota Scion TC was driving west across the intersection when the front of the motorcycle crashed into the right side of the Toyota.
The motorcyclist will be identified by the Clark County coroner’s office after his family has been notified. The crash marked the 67th traffic-related fatality Metro has investigated this year, police said.
