Man dies after car strikes power box

A 65-year-old man died after his 2012 Toyota Prius struck a struck a power box just before 2 a.m. Tuesday, according to Las Vegas police.

The police also reported that the man was traveling west on Button Willow Drive approaching Crooked Corner Street, near Lake Mead Boulevard and Interstate 215, when his Prius veered to the right and struck the power box on the north sidewalk.

The man was transported to Summerlin Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Police investigations indicate that the man may have had a medical episode before the accident occurred and lost control of the vehicle.

The identity of the man and the cause of death will be determined by the Clark County coroner’s office.
