I-15 shut down near Barstow, expect major delays to LA

If you’re driving to Los Angeles Sunday evening, you might want to wait or face major delays as Interstate 15 spetn most of the afternoon shut down near Barstow, Calif., the Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada said.

All lanes were closed at Fort Irwin, 173 miles south of Las Vegas, due to an overturned semi truck about 5 p.m., the California Department of Transportation said on Twitter.

Just six miles south of that, another crash closed three lanes, the department said.

It wasn’t immediately clear if anyone was injured in either crash. Information from California Highway Patrol was not immediately available.

One southbound lane was open about 10 miles north of Barstow as of 10 p.m., according to the department.

This is a developing story. Check back for updates.
