I-15 near state line to close for power line work

Interstate 15 in California near the Nevada state line will be closed for a total of 30 minutes Wednesday for electrical line work, according to the California Department of Transportation.

The department will close the north- and southbound lanes for three, 10-minute intervals for a 5.2-mile stretch between Yates Well and Nipton roads in San Bernardino County, according to a Monday news release. The closures will happen between 9 a.m. and 10 a.m.

CDOT advised drivers to avoid driving on that portion of the freeway between those hours. The closures are necessary for a power company to install overhead power lines, the department said.
