Hit-and-run accident closes Flamingo and Fort Apache intersection

An intersection on the southwest side of the Las Vegas Valley was closed Saturday after a hit-and-run accident, police say.

Flamingo and Fort Apache roads were closed after a five-car accident occurred just before 11 a.m.

A suspect tried to flee the scene, Las Vegas police lieutenant Michael Wallace said, but was apprehended.

The intersection remained closed at 11:30 a.m.
