Henderson man dies of injuries from Friday accident

A man who died from injuries sustained in an accident on Friday has been identified by the Clark County coroner’s office.

Alberto Escalona, 28, of Henderson, was southbound about 4 a.m. on Interstate 15 near Blue Diamond Road when his Mercedes-Benz was rear-ended by a Frito-Lay truck.

Escalona was taken to University Medical Center in critical condition. He died early Saturday morning.

Cause of death has not been determined at this time.
