Fatal crossing: Pedestrian dead after walking interstate

One man is dead after trying to cross Interstate-15 on foot early Sunday morning.

Nevada Highway Patrol received a call just before 6 a.m. The 33-year-old man had attempted to walk across I-15 northbound near the Flamingo exit and was struck by a taxi.

No freeway lanes are closed, but the Flamingo northbound off-ramp is closed, said trooper Loy Hixson.

The Clark County coroner’s office will release the man’s identity.
