73-year-old who died in scooter accident identified

The man who died Tuesday after his motorized scooter was involved in a collision has been identified by the Clark County coroner’s office.

Robert Roeder, 73, was traveling westbound on Charleston Boulevard just before 2 p.m. when a Kia Sorento turned left in front of him at the Durango Drive intersection, said Las Vegas police. Roeder was thrown from the scooter when it struck the Sorento.

Roeder was pronounced dead after being transported to University Medical Center. His exact cause of death is still pending.
