Downtown Summerlin retailers adjusting hours, events postponed

Downtown Summerlin announced Tuesday morning that stores and restaurants are adjusting operating hours to prevent the spread of coronavirus, and some events scheduled for the shopping area will be rescheduled.
According to a news release, information about individual stores and restaurants will be posted to Downtown Summerlin’s website.
“Many restaurants are increasing their “To Go” and delivery business so customers can take comfort in their favorite foods at home,” the release said.
Downtown Summerlin also is working to reschedule events that previously were set through April.
“This is in alignment with the (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s) direction that group events of more than 10 people are limited through this time,” the release said.
The Tour de Summerlin and Summerlin Half Marathon, both of which are part of The Wellness Festival, have been rescheduled to Nov. 7, the release said.
Many local restaurants and smaller chains had not announced changes online to their Downtown Summerlin locations as of Tuesday morning. Downtown Summerlin’s website directs visitors to check with individual stores and restaurants for operating hours, “effective immediately through March 31.”
Wolfgang Puck Players Locker in Downtown Summerlin has suspended dine-in service but offers takeout service in the restaurant and at curbside.
All locations of Shake Shack, including the Downtown Summerlin location, are now offering to-go only, with delivery through third-party services.
The Pure Barre location in Downtown Summerlin announced Monday night on Facebook that it will be closing through at least Sunday. The gym will livestream classes Tuesday for all active members.
TruFusion Summerlin temporarily closed Monday afternoon. In a note to members, the company wrote: “We know this is a stressful time for everyone — but we know we will overcome. Please stay safe and healthy.”
An employee at MTO Cafe said Tuesday morning that the Downtown Summerlin location will change its hours to close at 2 p.m. The downtown Las Vegas location, which already closes at 2 p.m., was not affected as of Tuesday.
According to SkinnyFats’ website, the restaurant will still offer dine-in for customers at its Nevada locations, including one in Downtown Summerlin.
Makers and Finders, a coffee shop and restaurant with locations at Downtown Summerlin and in the Arts District, said Monday night on Facebook that it is offering $3 off deliveries of $15 or more on postmates. As of Tuesday morning, it was also offering 25 percent off orders for hospitality workers through March.
The Lazy Dog restaurant, located in Downtown Summerlin with other locations in California, Nevada, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Texas and Virginia, said on its website that its offering free delivery through its website on orders of $25 or more.
