The 10-month-old baby who died Thursday morning in a southwest Las Vegas home has been identified by the county coroner.
He was Michael Taulanga of Las Vegas, according to the Clark County coroner’s office. His cause and manner of death are pending.
Police were called about 7 a.m. Thursday to a home in the 400 block of Warminister Avenue after Michael’s mother discovered he was not breathing.
Abuse and neglect detectives with the Metropolitan Police Department are investigating, which is protocol when a child dies, department spokesman Aden OcampoGomez said.
