6 displaced after house fire in southwest Las Vegas

Six people were displaced after a Wednesday morning fire at a home in southwest Las Vegas.
The fire was called in just before 1 a.m. at 5055 Cartaro Drive, near Decatur Boulevard and Twain Avenue, Clark County Fire Department Deputy Fire Chief Jeff Buchanan said.
Arriving crews found flames and smoke inside the garage and on the side of the house. The six adults were still inside, but firefighters got them out of the house and no injuries were reported. A cat was found dead inside the home.
The fire was under control by 1:25 a.m., Buchanan said.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation; the cost of damage has not yet been estimated.
