Police investigate fatal motorcycle crash in North Las Vegas

Police are investigating a fatal crash in North Las Vegas.

North Las Vegas police responded to the crash about 12:20 p.m. Thursday at the intersection of Donna Street and East Azure Avenue near East Centennial Parkway, police spokeswoman Ann Cavaricci said.

Arriving officers found a motorcycle had collided with a car in the intersection. Medical personnel arrived on the scene and took the 28-year-old motorcyclist to University Medical Center where he later died, Cavaricci said.

The preliminary investigation indicates the motorcycle rider failed to stop at a posted stop sign prior to striking a four-door Dodge sedan. The sedan driver remained on scene and is cooperating with the investigation.

The Clark County coroner’s office will release the identity of the motorcyclist once next of kin has been notified.
