Woman killed in crash near Lake Mead identified

The woman who died in a car crash Saturday night at Lake Mead National Recreation Area has been identified.

Joni Boothman-Ryder, 28, was flown to a hospital about 11 p.m. after the single-vehicle rollover crash on Lakeshore Road. She was pronounced dead at the hospital.

A man who was also in the vehicle was taken to the hospital by ambulance with unknown injuries.

The road was closed in both directions for about five hours.

The National Park Service, Bureau of Land Management, Henderson Police Department, Henderson Fire Department and Nevada Highway Patrol responded to the crash scene.
