Sandoval heading to Canada on trade mission

CARSON CITY – Gov. Brian Sandoval is leaving Tuesday for a two-day trade mission to Canada, visiting Ottawa and Toronto.

“I arrive (Tuesday) night and there are meetings scheduled all day Wednesday and Thursday,” he said.

Sandoval said there are four different tracks for the visit, which will include Nevada business and higher education representatives. There will be a number of meetings associated with Nevada’s recent designation by the Federal Aviation Administration as a testing area for drones, he said.

Sandoval has gone on a number of trade missions as governor, the most recent being a trip to Mexico in July of 2013. Prior trips took Sandoval to Israel, China and South Korea.
