Police seek missing airman at Mount Charleston

Volunteers with Red Rock Search and Rescue on Friday were at Mount Charleston working to find a missing member of the U.S Air Force, North Las Vegas police said.

A missing person’s report was filed by his wife from the couple’s North Las Vegas home, police spokeswoman Sgt. Chrissie Coon said.

Details on the search and disappearance were not immediately available, Metro Lt. Ken Romane said Friday evening.

Romane said the airman’s vehicle was found off a dirt road at Mount Charleston. The location was not immediately available.

Multiple calls to Air Force spokesmen were not returned Friday.
