Park Service waives entrance fees at Lake Mead after I-15 closure

The National Park Service announced Tuesday that the entrance fee at Lake Mead National Recreation Area will be temporarily waived to help alleviate traffic from Interstate 15 detours.

I-15 is closed in both directions between Glendale and Mesquite, north of Las Vegas, after the weekend’s heavy flooding washed the road away.

Drivers can pass straight through the Northshore, Lake Mead Boulevard, Lake Mead Parkway and Boulder Beach entrance stations until further notice.
