Northern Nevada inmate dies after medical episode

A Nevada inmate died over the weekend in what prison officials called a “medical episode.”

Kirt Robinson, 57, died on Saturday at the medical center in the Northern Nevada Correctional Center. Prison officials released no details about his death.

Robinson was serving 2 to 6 years for driving under the influence. He had been in Nevada’s corrections system since 2005.

The Carson City coroner’s office will conduct a full autopsy.
