A North Las Vegas driver was killed in a single-car rollover in Lincoln County Saturday morning, the Nevada Highway Patrol said Monday.

Joseph Bowlen, 36, was in a 2000 Dodge Intrepid on state Route 318, about 150 miles north of Las Vegas, when he drove off the highway, lost control and overturned the car, NHP said.

Bowlen, who was not wearing a seat belt, was thrown from the car and died at the scene at about 9 a.m.

Bowlen was traveling faster than the speed limit, NHP said.
