Las Vegas police investigate fire-related death in Sandy Valley

The Clark County Fire Department and Las Vegas police are investigating a fire-related death in Sandy Valley, about 60 miles southwest of Las Vegas.
At around 10 a.m. Monday, the fire department responded to multiple calls of a fire at a home in the 400 block of North Springs Street in the small town along the Nevada-California border.
After extinguishing the fire, firefighters found a woman in her mid 60s and three dogs dead among the debris.
Las Vegas police were called to investigate as is protocol with any fire-related death, according to the fire department.
The identity of the woman has not been released.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
