2 minor earthquakes shake Reno region

RENO — The U.S. Geological Survey says two magnitude 3.1 earthquakes recently shook the Reno area.

The Nevada Seismological Laboratory at the University of Nevada, Reno, says the epicenter was about 3.7 miles north-northeast of Galena High School.

The USGS says the quakes hit around noon and 1 p.m. Sunday.

Reno police and fire department officials say there were no immediate reports of injuries or damage.
