1 killed, 5 injured in Arizona rollover

KINGMAN, Ariz. — A teenager was killed and five other northwest Arizona residents were hurt in a single-vehicle rollover in Golden Valley on Wednesday.

The state Department of Public Safety said a Chevrolet suburban rolled in the eastbound lanes of Arizona Route 68 about five miles east of Bullhead City at 3:15 p.m.

One of the passengers, Jacob Sanchez, 17, of Bullhead City, died of his injuries at a Las Vegas hospital, the agency said.

Four other victims from Bullhead City, and another from Kingman, ranging from 17 to 20 years old, were transported to hospitals in Nevada and Arizona for treatment of their injuries.

The driver of the vehicle was identified as Samuel A. Nave, 19, of Bullhead City.

The cause of the accident was under investigation, though driver impairment was not suspected, the agency said.
