Zia Records owner dies at age 45

Brian Faber, the owner and vice president of Zia Records, which has two shops in Las Vegas, died Sunday after suffering a brain hemorrhage and stroke, a statement posted on Zia Records’ blog said.

He was 45.

The statement said Faber’s vision helped Zia Records expand and grow.

“Brian was full of boundless energy and he worked hard to continue the long legacy of Zia Records,” the statement said. “With Brian at the helm, Zia Records expanded and grew. His enthusiasm, wit, love of people, and vision helped fuel our company. He believed in people. He inspired us to believe in ourselves.”

Zia Records, famous for selling both vinyl records and compact discs, has Las Vegas shops at 4503 W. Sahara Ave. and 4225 S. Eastern Ave.
