Wrong-way driver killed on I-15 was 85-year-old Las Vegas man

A man who died in a crash Saturday after driving the wrong way on Interstate 15 near Mesquite was identified Monday as 85-year-old Tomi Kawamoto of Las Vegas.
According to the Nevada Highway Patrol, the crash occurred about 3:30 p.m. Kawamoto was driving a black Lexus north in the southbound lanes. His car collided with a gray Infiniti about five miles south of Mesquite.
The driver of the Infiniti, a 37-year-old man, was flown to University Medical Center with critical injuries. His condition was unknown Monday.
