Woman killed in hit and run on U.S. 95 identified

A woman killed Saturday morning in a hit-and-run accident on U.S. Highway 95 was identified Monday.
Lorena Aceves, age unknown, was a passenger in a vehicle that was rear-ended about 7:25 a.m. while traveling south on the highway, just north of Tropicana Avenue.
When Aceves got out of the vehicle to check the damage, she was struck by a minivan, Nevada Highway Patrol trooper Jeremie Elliot said. She was taken to University Medical Center in critical condition and later died.
The driver of the minivan fled the scene but was found and arrested by Las Vegas police.
