Woman hit, killed by vehicle in northeast valley

A woman in the northeast valley died after being struck by a vehicle on Friday night, Las Vegas police said.

Officers were called to the area of Craig Road and Nellis Boulevard shortly after 7 p.m., Metro Lt. Yaz Yatomi said. A vehicle struck a woman in her 50s who appeared to be walking outside of a crosswalk.

The woman died at University Medical Center a short time after, Yatomi said.

Alcohol does not appear to be a factor and the driver stayed on the scene, Yatomi said.

The woman’s identity will be released by the Clark County coroner’s office.
