Woman dies in Boulder Highway crash

A woman died in rollover crash in the southeast valley Tuesday afternoon, Las Vegas police said.

The Henderson woman was heading north on Boulder Highway when she struck a light pole with her silver minivan just before 5 p.m., Metro supervisor Lt. Bruce Miyama said.

Traffic fatality detectives investigated the crash and later said the woman, driving a 2004 Dodge Durango, was going through the intersection when she crossed the median and hit the pole. The van went into a dirt median and flipped over, killing the 35-year-old woman on the scene.

The woman’s identity will be released by the Clark County coroner’s office after her family has been notified.

This is the 37th traffic fatality in Metro’s jurisdiction this year
