Woman dies after medical episode on ATV

A 68-year-old woman died after having a medical episode Monday afternoon on an all-terrain vehicle, Las Vegas police said.

Lt. Glen Lowe said the incident occurred between 2:30 p.m. and 3 p.m. at sand dunes near Las Vegas Boulevard and Apex Drive.

He said a woman was out with her son, who was riding a separate all-terrain vehicle. Lowe said the woman stopped on a berm and started having a medical episode. She then fell off her vehicle.

The woman’s son unsuccessfully attempted cardiopulmonary resuscitation. She died on scene.
