Vintner Grill banquet facility at Fashion Show Mall shut down by health inspector

Summerlin favorite Vintner Grill had its banquet location inside Neiman Marcus at Fashion Show Mall shut down as a health hazard by the Southern Nevada Health District.

Environmental health supervisor Robert Urzi said the facility actually could have been closed May 22 for either of two reasons –– because the 45 demerits inspectors found was five more than allowable threshold and because backup in the floor drain was causing a flooding issue that made the place an imminent health hazard.

The problems inspectors found at the location included expired beef products, food out of temperature and Vintner staff not properly washing their hands, Urzi said.

Calling the closure “regrettable” and saying management accepts “full responsibility” for the problem, Vintner Grill owner Michael Corrigan stressed Friday that his Fashion Show location is a banquet-only facility and that “this issue had no effect on the Summerlin location.” He added action has been taken “to ensure this does not happen again.”
