Vehicle strikes teen who suffers critical injuries

A teen was in critical condition after being hit by a vehicle in the west valley Wednesday evening, Las Vegas police said.

Officers were called to the scene near the Rainbow Boulevard and Charleston boulevards intersection about 5 p.m., Metro spokesman Larry Hadfield said.

An “older teenager” was taken to University Medical Center with critical injuries, Hadfield said.

Police are investigating the crash and more details will come from them later.
