UNLV students win Victoria’s Secret contest

The scarlet and gray of UNLV could turn pink very soon.

At least that’s what is expected after University of Nevada, Las Vegas students organized a social media voting drive and won the Victoria’s Secret Pink Nation “Craziest Campus Showdown” earlier this week.

Details of UNLV’s prize are being kept under wraps for now — a spokeswoman for the unmentionables company did not return a call Friday.

But if last year’s winner, Central Florida University, is any indication, UNLV students could get a free concert and a visit from Victoria’s Secret models.

At least two Pink models — Sara and Elsa, last names unavailable — attended 2013’s event and jumped in a pink bounce house. That activity was followed by a free concert by rapper Flo Rida, who is from Florida.

In all, UNLV beat out 98 other Pink campuses, including Indiana University, Michigan State University and the University of Missouri.

The runner-up in the contest was Grand Valley State University located in Michigan.
