Two motorcycle collisions, one fatal, being investigated
The Nevada Highway Patrol was investigating two motorcycle collisions late Thursday, including one fatality.
NHP trooper Jeremie Elliot said a motorcyclist collided with a vehicle on state Route 160 westbound near Rainbow Boulevard.
The collision occurred between 8 p.m. and 8:30 p.m., the highway patrol said.
The motorcyclist was transported to University Medical Center and pronounced dead.
Elliot added that at 8:40 p.m. an additional motorcyclist crashed on Interstate 15 at the base of the on ramp at Flamingo Road. The condition of the motorcyclist was unknown, but appeared life threatening.
