Three crashes snarl traffic in east Las Vegas valley

Three separate vehicle collisions in the east Las Vegas valley tied up traffic Thursday afternoon.

Las Vegas police responded to the first collision, at South Nellis Boulevard and East Wyoming Avenue, about 11:32 a.m. The crash involved a pickup truck and a motorcycle, and the motorcyclist was taken to the hospital with unknown injuries.

Southbound traffic was blocked about 11:45 a.m. in the intersection of Nellis and East Mojave Avenue.

The second accident happened minutes later at the intersection of Nellis and Vegas Valley Drive. The car and truck involved in the accident sustained a lot of damage, police said, but there were no injuries.

Police responded at 12:05 p.m. to a third collision on East Chicago Avenue, just west of Nellis and south of the initial collision. A truck and car were also involved in the third collision. It is unclear if anyone was injured in the most recent crash.
