St. Jude’s Ranch receives $2.6 million extreme makeover grant

An organization that serves abused, neglected and homeless children and young adults in Boulder City received a $2.6 million grant for an “extreme makeover.”

The grant came from the Engelstad Family Foundation and it will cover two projects at St. Jude’s Ranch for Children. The projects include structural upgrades, interior refurbishing and new appliances for the foster homes on St. Jude’s campus.

Three power generators will also be added for emergencies. And the chapel at St. Jude’s will undergo exterior and interior renovations.

St. Jude’s will select a general contractor to oversee the projects in the coming weeks. The projects are expected to be completed within six to nine months.
