Residents awake to grey skies and misty morning

Dreary grey skies greeted Las Vegas residents as they woke up Sunday morning.

A light drizzle fell steadily from the sky in the central Valley throughout the morning, with slightly heavier rainfall washing over Henderson, according to National Weather Service meteorologist Ryan Metzger.

The storm is expected to blow north by Sunday afternoon, as the system which is currently spiraling over town will pass on.

The rain brings cooler temperatures, in the mid-80s, and with the potential for rain over the next few days, the heat is kept mostly at bay, Metzger said.

It will gradually heat up and dry out throughout the week, with a sunny Saturday to cap things off.
