Police investigate stabbing death near Cashman Center

A man was stabbed to death near Cashman Center on Saturday morning, according to Las Vegas police.

Neighbors of the man called first responders about 8:35 a.m. to the 800 block of Sagman Street, where they found a man lying outside of a residence, Metro Lt. Terry Bernard said. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The investigation shows that the man was attacked when he was walking toward the courtyard of the residence, police said. Metro had not identified any suspect as of 3:30 p.m.

The victim’s identity and official cause of death will be released by the Clark County coroner’s office once next of kin has been notified.

This is the fifth homicide investigated by Metro in 2015.
