Police arrest 1 in southwest valley crash

A driver was arrested on suspicion of being high on drugs and causing a crash in the southwest valley Monday night, Las Vegas police said.

A northbound driver “blew through” a red light and hit an eastbound vehicle just before 9 p.m. at Fort Apache and West Flamingo roads. A white truck believed to be the at-fault driver’s rolled over, and the other vehicle spun out, according to Metro supervisor Lt. Dave Valenta.

There were no major injuries, and no one was taken to the hospital, Valenta said. One person was arrested.

The driver of a white truck was taken into custody, according to a witness on the scene.
